About

Yale Alumni Academy

Welcome to Yale Alumni Academy! As part of the Yale Alumni Association, we offer lifelong learning and travel programs rooted in Yale’s tradition of intellectual community and friendship. Explore topics in the humanities, arts, and sciences with programs held online, on-campus, and abroad. These substantive, challenging, and inspiring learning experiences are organized in partnership with Yale faculty and scholars for alumni, family, and friends.

Our Abroad Programs offer congenial alumni participants an opportunity to travel and study with talented Yale faculty and scholars in fascinating destinations around the globe. Tours feature enriching itineraries, behind-the-scenes visits, and stimulating seminars and lectures. Whenever possible, we incorporate exciting events with prominent local alumni and dignitaries. Each Abroad Program is designed to explore the marvels of the world while reconnecting alumni to Yale and to each other.

We invite you to join interesting and accomplished companions in the search for light and truth at Yale and further afield. We are always interested in hearing from you. Please contact us with your questions, ideas and suggestions.

COVID-19 Risk-Free Booking Policy

The safety of our participants is of the utmost importance to Yale Alumni Academy. Our risk-free booking policy allows you to book with the confidence that you can withdraw from the program should conditions be unfavorable for travel. Unless otherwise listed in the trip’s terms and conditions, any new registrations booked after December 1, 2020, may be changed or canceled up to 90 days prior to departure and will receive a full credit or full refund of all deposits. For new cash deposits, a full-cash refund will be offered, for registrations made with credit vouchers, full-credit will be offered. Final payments for all programs are not due until 90 days prior to departure.

Yale Alumni Academy follows the stringent COVID-19 safety protocols established by the University. We therefore re-evaluate the viability of a program at 90 days prior to departure to determine whether it still meets Yale's safety standards. At this time, the University will confirm whether group travel will be possible based on the conditions surrounding international travel and the status of the destination. At this time, we will also notify all registered participants whether Yale will remain an official sponsor of the travel program, and whether the study leader has received final approval to participate. Unless otherwise listed in the trip’s terms and conditions, at this 90-day point, all travelers will have the option to withdraw from a program with no penalty.
