In this session, Cort will discuss how environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities to business have expanded rapidly in the face of mega-trends such as climate change, ecosystem collapse and socio-economic inequality. Investors, businesses, and regulators are racing to better understand the nature of these risks and opportunities, specifically how these risks might accrue to the financial well-being of the business. This session will introduce the key trends in environmental, social, governance including regulation, liability, corporate risk management systems as well as the recent backlash from US politicians.
